Painting
I seem to have gotten something like inspiration or my ideas back. I mean I feel like I've got 'me' back. Omg its so great. I haven't been able to paint like this for years. Its just freedom and so free when I paint. I can feel it again. I feel like my work is meaningful to me again and not something that I should be expected to do. YAY!!!!! I especially like the fact that I don't feel like drawing buildings anymore. I find that so boring and uninspiring. Most of them look th

Busy
I have been busy painting today, which has been alot of fun. Here are some of my pictures.... Hope you enjoy!! :)

Untitled
So, I've had a busy day today, which is good. The more time you have on your hands the more time you have to think, and thinking too much is bad. Sometimes its good and you can come up with creative ideas, but for me, (most of the time) it leads to uncontrollable thoughts and anxiety, and I don't need that in my life. Anyway, I have been working on my big canvas today. I'm about a 1/6 of the way through it. Its exciting to work on something on such a large scale again. I'll

New Project/Idea
I have an idea inspired by the above image. The painting is called Pegasus and is by one of my favourite artists, Jean Michel Basquiat. I like it because its black and white and really stark and in your face. The recurring shapes such as circles give the painting a sense of unity and the writing ties it all together. I really like the lines and simple shapes. It has a really nice quality to it. I want to produce something similar, along the lines of a stream of consciousness

New piece
The start of the 1 by 1 metre townscape that I'm working on. Will post regular updates.

Untitled.
I'm up late. I think the medication that I'm on is making me gain weight. Its made me gain loads of weight. I used to be 7 stone, now I'm alot bigger. Its so depressing. I'm changing over medications and I think both of them together are causing weight gain. Bad combination. Great!!! Just what I need. I hate going to the gym, its so boring just exercising on a machine. I don't get the fascination. I would rather not feel confused all the time than be skinny. Then I could do m

Outsider Art
Currently watching this video. Comes in 5 parts. Absolutely brilliant. Talks about Outsider Artists and their lives. One of my favourite art videos. I feel like I can completely relate to these people and their art. Also another good book on Outsider Artists is 'Beautiful Losers' featuring artists like Barry McGee, Margaret Kilgallen, KAWS, Thomas Campbell, Ed Templeton and Keith Haring. The book also has a accompanying film which is excellent. Really recommend it. In fact, h

Work and exhibitions
So, I'm waiting delivery of a 1 x 1 metre canvas to start work on it for the show. I think it got delivered to the local depot, so I have to go and get it. I also need to take delivery of two packs of posca pens (the pens that I draw on the canvas with) as well. I bought a quantity of them because they wear out really quickly; the surface of the canvas is really rough and wears down the nib, plus you need a lot for such a big piece. I think I'm going to draw the buildings sli
